I love Whalerider for several reasons. I love the cinematography with lush rolling New Zealand landscapes. I love the film for its spiritualism, and I love it for connection to New Zealand that I so desperately desire.
Angela's Ashes was an instant classic since I first read the book oh so many years ago. I find the film to be dreary and miserable but depicts strong values towards self-actualization and sheer drive.
