I cannot but notice, as I drive me automobile down the long bumpy, and overly uneven streets of Sudbury, that my Orange Crush (that I recently purchased from MacDonald’s) is quite watery and horribly flat. I however, continue to ingest this deathly concoction of water, sugar and added colorings.
As my vehicle drives over the countless potholes on Kingsway Blvd, I think to myself, and I realize that one must make significant sacrifices in ones life for the greater good of the entire scheme. With this in mind, I continue to sip on my phony Orange Crush. Just like all the other things around me that I consider annoying, I brush those feelings aside and solder on to the beat of the drum.
This Orange Crush may taste like a concoction of evil, yet I payed for it and I will enjoy every sip, even if it kills me. The numbness in my soul is merely a reflex mechanism so I may weather the storm.
