OMG... This is so good! ^o^

This is the angstiest thing ever! You described John's anguish and Dean's pain so well I'm still crying. And the guy thought it was all his fault. Poor Dean...

Are you writing more? Please, tell me you are. Even if it is a short thing. I need to know he gets better.

Wow, thank you for reading and commenting. I wasn't planning to write more in this 'verse, but I will definitely think about it. Maybe something from Dean's or Sam's POV? We shall see. Right now I need to finish my BigBang story and a long overdue sequel to last year's BigBang! But I will put some followup for this in the cue!

Thanks again for reading!! :D

You're welcome! ^-^ And I think something from Dean's POV could be really interesting. What's crosses through his mind during all of this? Dean, being so independant and stubborn, with his need to protect Sammy and help his family... He must be going through hell here, and I'm not just talking about the physical pain.
But take your time, finish that BigBang story and then write something nice for us ;-)

*squeee* Great story! *squeee*

I love it! The hurt, the comfort, the guilt on both sides, Sam as the one who keeps everybody from falling apart, just wonderful!

Thank you for this story!

This was lovely - and so in character for John and Dean to blame themselves and NOT talk about it! Men! I second the request for more - Dean does have a long road of recovery after all....

Thank you for reading and for your comment! I'm glad this came across as in-character, 'cause yeah, John and Dean = very good at self-blame, very bad at communication.

I will definitely take it under consideration to write more. After all, this could use to be a bit more schmoopy. :) Thanks again!

Oh, WINCHESTERS! This is really wonderful, the way all of them come across so clearly. Dean haze of pain and guilt, John's absolutely overwhelming guilt and worry, Sam's struggle to keep everything okay and working. Eep, lovely.

Wow, thank you! I was a little worried this story had too much John and not enough Dean (who was supposed to be the focus, or one of the focuses after all) and Sam, so it's very good to hear that the characterizations of all three Winchesters came through so clearly. Thank you so much for reading! I am always incredibly flattered to get a positive comment from someone whose writing I admire. :)

Yes, but I was wired at work today... lots of adrenaline and caffeine... then 3pm rolled around and the last 3.5 hours of the day sucked! But I actually got some work done, so it wasn't all bad.
