went to two AMAZING shows monday & tuesday. my absolute favorite, JAKOB DYLAN & the GMR. monday night, i had second row seats to a sold out show! holler! it was basically me & old people at woodsongs. but i figured they went to woodsongs regularly every monday night anyways. afterwards, went and stayed with one of my besties, laura.
next day got to hang with my other half, lori. then off to concert number two, which started at seven. and oh my god, best show i've ever been to. i can't even get over how good he is live. dork alert: it was so great, i just wanted to cry. his typical jakob-audience-banter was hilarious. he was talking about how he had to tune up his guitar but it would be worth the wait, and someone shouted out, "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID." hahaha. everyone laughed and he was all, 'let's grow up now. i'm glad we can get that out of our system. but that's what she said." love it love it love it! and i love fred, the drummer (also for the wallflowers). something fell off his drum kit and jakob says, 'your kit is falling apart' which fred replied 'my life is falling part.' i just want him to be my best friend.
all in all, i had the best time for the most boring, friendless summer ever. i even saw a familiar face at the show, brian!
he played all my favorite songs in a row, both from his solo & the wallflowers. love that man.
