I am back from vacation. I found lots of shells on the beach that already have holes in them in exactly the right spot (jewelry wise, that is!) - how does that happen? Anyway, I made a birthday gift for my sister using some of them. The reddish beads are spiny oyster (I bought those on while on my trip).

I believe those holes are made by the creature's that eat the tasty shellfish. I am too lazy to look them up right now though. :P
