Why is she crying on the phone?
Can I trust my ears to tell the truth?
Can I believe what I hear?
Am I dreaming a nightmare too surreal to surpass.
A sister lost to her delusions
Was the price they had to pay for ignorance.
Unusual punishment
For an innocent crime never committed.
Dial tone, awkward silence
A rushed flight to the place where she fell
Over the familiar stone wall
With scratches on my shaking hands
Hit with news of tragedy
Trembling knees send me to the ground, hard.
A suicide note placed by her bed
Left so many hearts to lie still and broken.
Unfit for this world
She was sent away by her own hand.
