Took piglet to the Met today. Didn't know that it was sub-zero today with wind-chill, but he seems to have survived well enough, and slept through the entire trip, and most of the lovely and light filled Roman and Greek galleries as well. Though the Met's Greek collection may not be much to speak of, it does look smashing in the new gallery. Then took him to the Asian section, where he finally woke up, and spent a great deal of time looking at the grated wooden ceilings. Next to that he loved the a giant lacquer screen of hundred birds, in black and red, and the Kumar sculptures, especially a lion with its beards in a geometric pattern.
