4x06. COLIN MORGAN AND KATIE MCGRATH, but especially, especially katie. the LEAPS that morgana has made as a credible character and antagonist. pitch PERFECT. as much i really truly hated that dream that introduced emrys as her nightmare, the execution of the growing confict between morgana and her emrys has been... perfect. morgana is just. so. perfect. this series. morgana has grown into my favorite merlin antagonist by far. not once has she crossed that line that gives me secondhand embarrassment. the you're just my imagination bit could have been really dumb, but it wasn't.
also, colin morgan rocks the shit out of being hurt and kidnapped and strung up.
actually, everyone was pitch perfect in this episode (i love your face, gwen), but the set pitch, dear writers, was really fucking strange.
don't know how i feel about the veering between serious shit and the ridonkulous stuff.
beautiful friendship scene in the beginning, though. yeah. they got me. i am a gigantic sucker.
