Love Serenade
Love Serenade will be screened at ACMI, 4pm, this Saturday. The film had received two prizes at Cannes in 1996 - Camera D'Or and Best New Director.
Quite incredibly the Australian director hasn't made another feauture film in ten years, although has directed several episodes for tv. I'm rather curious to know how come she didn't have more opportunities for work, unfortunately it seems a common story in the Australian film industry, even award winning directors still cannot find support for their projects in this country. Or did she just wanted to do something else?:)
