State of the Cub/Bear - My 30th Year.
I’ve been out. I’ve been traveling a lot. Since the Southerner Catastrophe of January - I have been to San Fran, Seattle, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Indianapolis, Michigan, and Atlanta. It is is now July, and so where am I?
Well I’m out of the woods, and well, sometimes people leave you, halfway through the wood, others may deceive you, you decide what’s good. You decide alone, but no one is alone. I have definitely been taking advantage of connections - from shoulders to cry on, broad backs to lean against and warm inviting embraces. It has helped.
Where is work? It’s in a stable place, which is probably a good thing. I hate it though. Work isn’t boring, but I know where it’s boundaries are, which usually mean that it’s time for a change. So I made it through the year of 2009 and am halfway through the year of 2010, and got to start preparing for 2011.
Well, I’m about 60 days shy of 30, the magical age of two good shows. I constantly have running through my head: 30 feels like 90, 30/90, 30/90, 30/90, what can you do? ; marry me a little, just enough, cry but not too often, play but not too rough.
Keep a tender distance.
Which is a good title for this series of post: a tender distance. I won’t pull all the way back, but retrospective is a good thing, sometime. Otherwise how can you tell what you have learned?
So listen to everything I know.
