Glee - End of a section

Clearly, this episode was meant to be a landmark of sorts. It was written by the creator/head writer, usually the sign of "very important episode." And the way it ended, with characters making up/connectiong, plotlines closed, and new ones opening, it showed the ending of one stage and the beginning of another. And i love the baseball analogy. :)

Of course, that means only two songs, because we need space for heavy dialogue scenes, lots of quiet stony scenes, and voiceovers describing time and place for characters.

Of course that means folks don't like it; they want their glee unabated. And that's fine - but i also appreciate that it's a long season, and that episodes weave a larger tale - it can't be unabated - there is play within the tone that makes you appreciate it. I'd mention 'Firefly', another show that shifted episode to episode as a way of telling a larger story than just "baddie of the week."

Patience, and next week? bring it.
