Glee Alone

It's a sign of a talented singer, in my opinion, if they are able to showcase a song as well as their voice - find the medium were both are shining brightly. Some singers with wondrous instruments hijack songs.

There is no need for me to compliment Kristin Chenowith. But, during 'Last Name', the Carrie Underwood song, I realized - well, this is actually a nice song, and Kristin's voice, with the added twang and beltiness not normally her vein, sounds really cool. Hmm. And I don't usually like country. Pair that with an incredible rendition of "Maybe This Time", with full acting credentials and character subtext, and slight Minelli warble and you have an immensely talented performer. Like Kurt, I had some things to wipe up.

But then you get the now-expected 55 minute turn, which i'll buy, but only cause i'm eager to buy and let's blow out the house with some Queen.

Oh Queen.

I remember when I saw Happy Feet, and there is the Somebody To Love performance, I connected immediately to the main character, unable to sing, but still making sound - there is something about this song that makes you sing out, makes you stand up and do something. be it dance, or sway, or stomp your feet, or just let out some random note that you hope fits.

It's all hopes and dreams baby.
