Emergency Ham

My days before Christmas were with last-minute shopping (not my fault my family is bad about offering suggestions until the last minute) and regular work and going back and forth with my neurologist's office and pharmacies trying to get my prescriptions filled before the end of the year.  I still have one in mysterious limbo, but at least we got several other medications sorted out, though why they couldn't just go to their regular pharmacies who knows.

We ended up deciding to go to my church for the Christmas Eve service, the first time my family had been there.  I think it was good, though it was early enough the afternoon sun was streaming through the stained glass windows while we lit our candles.  Papa and I waited half an hour with a bunch of other people for our Chinese food.  Our plans for light-looking were stymied when it came out over dinner he'd forgotten to get the ham for Christmas.  Winn-Dixie turned out to be the only local grocery store still open, so Key and I stopped there on our way home.  We did look at some lights afterwards.

Since I was hosting I cooked the ham (and cleaned.)  We also had rolls and green beans and (microwaved) mashed potatoes.  There were also pies for dessert.  Then we opened presents.  I got gift cards, money, Castle in the Sky, Outlander Season 3 soundtrack, and in computer games, Dragon Age:  the Veilguard and Baldur's Gate 3.Quite the belated Bioware sequel combo (I know Baldur's Gate 3 isn't by Bioware, but the first two were--some of their first games, which gives an idea of the gap.)  And it's been ten years since Dragon Age:  Inquisition, back when this laptop was new.  Inquisition turned out to be one of my favorite games, so this one has a lot to live up to.  Thankfully it seems to be getting a positive response.  And I think I really am finally near the end of Assassin's Creed II this time, so I should be able to finish that up and dive right in.
