Post BCS let-down
Ok, so it sounds silly, but after living and dying with the 'Horns all season, it came down to the National CHampionship last night against Alabama. I figured they could win. I sat and watched as Colt McCoy went out after 5 plays, Garrett Gilbert came in gress as grass, fucked up hideously yet STILL nearly managed to win the game. Still a loss is a loss and its harder to take when it happens because the All American QB gets injured. Even if Colt is a god-squader, I still feel terrible that he put so much out there, accomplished so much and yet when it came to crunch time, he was done in by an injury before he could fufill what he wanted to do. Its also frustrating to come so far, get so close and see it all go down like that....
On a happier note, Booch got hired by the TSA as an airport screener. They called her today and she starts the 19th. At least now she'll be making a decent wage, with benefits and doing a job she doesnt hate. ( I hope). Another example of my weird luck, I told her to apply last year and when she'd get discouraged, I told her to stop worrying, the wheels of beurocracy for the Fed grind slowly. Now here it is. Shes excited about it and it'll be nice to see her working at something she seems to want to do.
Duck Dick is looking seriously for a house, hes trying to beat the deadline for the 8k$ homeowners credit which ends in April. Also they are tired of living with Hollywoods mom. He got pre-qualified for 100k$ so now hes looking at houses and should find something soon, hopefully....
