This is a general list of jobs available for players. It is by no means comprehensive, so don’t limit yourself to these positions. For further information on each facility, see the
facilities page. Further information on Babylon employees (Dancers and entertainers) follows this entry. It is important to bear in mind that the Donnellys can, and do, only hire the absolute best to staff Palace. There is no leeway on this.
Restaurants/bars/lounge:
- There are a total of 9 sit-down restaurants, many of which are open 24 hours. All need wait staff, hosts and hostesses, and busboys. Waiters will also perform room/cottage-service duties.
- The buffet is open 24 hours a day, every day, and has 5 carving stations that need to be staffed, as well as grills for steak and hamburgers. Busboys are also needed here, as are servers to provide beverages.
- The bars require bartenders, and the wine bar requires a sommelier (wine steward). All are open 24 hours
- The cocktail lounge (Blue Note) needs entertainers, wait staff that will bus their own tables, and a bartender. It is open 7 days a week from 4 pm to 2 am.
- Roving servers are needed for the casino floor
- There are a total of 10 full kitchens (one for each sit-down restaurant and a very large one for the buffet). Each requires a team of staff, including cooks, sous-chefs, pastry chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Shopping facilities:
- There are numerous storefronts, most open from 9 am to 9 pm (the exceptions are listed below), each of which will require sales staff knowledgeable of its stock, stock clerks, etc. These are considered independently owned, and staffing is not overseen by the Palace. The Donnellys do reserve the right to vet all employees and proprietors and managers are required to submit personnel files for all staff for background checks.
- Newsstand (Simply Read), open from 6 am to midnight
- Convenience store (Bits n Bobs), open 24 hours

Staff onsite includes dancers, entertainers (prostitutes), drug servers, security. (Please see notes below for more information on prostitutes and dancers). Players wishing to have their character join Babylon staff must speak with Zachery-s at partywithzach on AIM

Other:

- The Daily Grind coffee shop needs baristas and managers.
- inKing needs tattoo artists and body piercers.
- The concierge desk will require articulate, knowledgeable employees who speak English flawlessly-speaking additional languages is a bonus. Staff will use all resources to assist guests and patrons with virtually any task. Staff MUST be willing to assist customers with certain tasks that are illegal (obtaining drugs or prostitutes, primarily).
- The Health Clinic requires MDs, NPs, and Paramedics. It also needs LPNs to triage walk-ins and take vital signs in non-emergent cases. Medical secretaries are required to answer phones and schedule room-calls. Medical billers will handle the billing of insurance companies, sending invoices to patients who owe a balance, and so forth.

Non-employment roles:
- Long term guests. They wouldn't have to be on site 24/7/365, just often enough and long enough to be involved. While away they can IC chat on AIM.
- High-rollers and casino regulars. Characters who come to the casino often enough to be noticed as a regular by staff, plus those who spend big bucks without blinking.
- Members of Babylon--wealthy patrons with darker tastes, who wouldn't bat an eye at prostitution, or seeing drugs or weapons (or people) being negotiated for and sold.
