A departure from all relevance:

Mar 06, 2011 04:06

Three months into 2011 and I haven't put a thing in here. I blame the alternate social networking platforms, and maybe the fact that they have mobile versions which actually work. Not at all that I've had a boring year, which has only been a factor in that it's mostly true.
But it's been well, on the mundane fronts: the new guy at work seems to be working out, so my job is a lot easier. I have a few secret artsy-crafts projects I've been dreaming of for about a year, finally starting to take physical shape. I'm not feeling as urgent about getting a hugely expensive wall-sized TV, which is a far more comfortable place for a guy of my income level to be. And I'm starting my days with steel-milled oats, thank you, Roger Ebert, and I feel great as a result, though I must avoid the temptation to tow a freight train with my jaw like Ebert did in that disastrous 2003 Ironman competition. Poor fucker.

Also, I don't know if it's just the wine, but I couldn't stop my puerile laughter at this moment of Internet brilliance:

That is all. See you next quarter, LJ!
