What can I say. I pitched my idea to change the project and I was denied before I could finish telling them my idea. Creature robot, you’re going in the back-burner. Pray that you’ll be dug up someday.
It did hurt when my colleague said that the design was boring and that a child could have drawn it, noting that the robots I had prior were not so. The funny thing is that I grew up drawing those “complex” robots and I found these organic creatures to be fascinating, so go figure. Personally, I thought he took it a step too far with his wording, but he’s entitled to his opinions (I’m not too confrontational so all I could say was “yeah…”). An opinion on someone’s opinion. The endless cycle, eh?
Well, it’s been really fun making this creature. I’ve learned many things that I never knew while drudging through the other robots. I won’t enjoy making the other robots for principle (restriction equals yearning), but I have to sell my soul for these short four months to graduate. I considered extending my stay to make this my final project, since I love it so… But I don’t want my mom to spend any more money on me, nor do I want to restrict Britas from the freedom of travel after college.
Damn.
I finally felt like I was creating something.
…Back to work.
