I made a new recipe last night after I came home from grocery shopping. I call it "Terrible Lamb Mistake". You can try it if you want to:
1. Go to Norway
2. Go shopping in Norway in their badly labeled meat department.
3. Try to buy some pork chops
4. Mistakenly buy some terrible lamb instead
5. Cook the terrible lamb
6. Take a bite of it, realize that it tastes like it was marinated in used aquarium water and salt
7. Cry a little because now you have $10 worth of terrible lamb left in the fridge
Eating it is like getting a mouthful of ocean water that you have to chew. It even has a vaguely fishy aftertaste, which is upsetting enough on its own. If groups like PETA are serious about spreading vegetarianism, they should just ditch the whole guilt angle and make people eat Norwegian saltlam (the name on the package). Just when I start to think that maybe their culture isn't so different from ours, I find out that they voluntarily make and pay money for this stuff.
