Stung

When raking up meadow which mostly consists of knapweed that was base cut by a scythe cutter, you'll have a lot of bees that are trapped and pissed off. A few of us got stung and I picked up.. as it turns out 17 stings (I thought it was three). *now* I'm reacting to them. Hives, headache and pulse up around 120.

NHS Direct sent a paramedic to check me out. Not an allergic reaction, just a toxin one. He wasn't hugely concerned as it is a good 6 hours since I was stung. He was impressed at the saucer containing the venom sacs.

Now you're all wondering how I failed to notice 14 extra bee stings. They were in my calf and shin area and I thought it was all bramble and thistle damage down there. It wasn't until I undressed that I found the patches (some with stingers still attached). I *really* don't react to insect stings.

The very large dose of anti-hystamine has left me feeling way out of sorts this morning. Coffee isn't touching the groggy, dizzy etc.
