Content: Dias goes to get his payment and some assorted answers from Miles, and winds up getting some mockery from Hojo in the bargain.

Dias' eyes narrowed. Edgeworth was a bit more observant than he'd thought if he'd noticed the mercenary's bemusement, which he'd been doing his best to conceal. He was also more shrewd than Dias had planned on; making Dias exchange some of his fee for the information he wanted was a much better bargaining tactic than the swordsman had anticipated from him.

"Fair enough," he muttered, impressed but slightly annoyed as well. After all, five thousand fol was more than enough for only one person, but he had three other people to think about right now as well...more than he'd ever had to provide for before. "Three thousand, plus information. I can't go much lower than that."

He found himself shifting uncomfortably and put a stop to that immediately. He'd been planning on asking Edgeworth about the things he'd seen and didn't understand already, yes, but the way Edgeworth was smirking at him...suddenly it was a lot harder to admit his ignorance. Not when the lawyer seemed ready to rub his face in it. "So maybe you're right," he muttered, trying not to sound as annoyed and defensive as he felt, "and I'm not used to things this...advanced. Does that give you the right to be smug about it?"
