That certainly explained things. Vyers had never quite been able to figure out what he thought of the boy’s situation, perhaps because of the chaos he always seemed to find himself wrapped into. But there was something to be said for Roxas’s strength in the face of his memory loss to be sure, and the pain that came with retrieving those memories… Well, Vyers couldn’t imagine much good coming of getting them back. He wasn’t even sure what the Organization had made him do when he was still among their ranks. And yet that was what the boy wanted, and Vyers supposed that was understandable. There truly was no right to be had, and an infinite of wrong that could arise.
A soft sigh escaped Vyers’ lips and he pulled his wife close to him once again, staring ahead at the blank wall with a furrowed brow. It only made sense that Gwen would pick up on all that before Vyers himself could. She had always been that way (and maybe he was a little-just a little-desensitized to it, given the hardships most demons went through in life). “He is strong,” Vyers assured her, fumbling a bit for the right words to say. “And he has good friends. He will find his way in time.”
