It had all started with a note. It had been short and terse, and so very much like Mao that she hadn't thought to question it or grow suspicious. The gist of it had been to come to Macalania Woods, quickly, and to not tell anyone where she was going, including Geoffrey. She hadn't needed the warning, being as untrusting of Geoffrey as she was. The girl put on the winter clothes Urd had been thoughtful enough to give her and walked out immediately, packing some travel supplies in a basket in case she or Mao ended up needing them.
It had taken her quite awhile to reach the woods, what with having to be as careful as possible. The Doctor had warned Yorda against going anywhere alone, but Mao needed her. She couldn't just abandon him. Besides, she knew she would be safe with him. At long last, she reached the woods, quiet and deceptively still. The glowing girl couldn't help but breathe a soft sigh of contentment as she looked about herself, lost in the beauty and tranquility of the strange and alluring forest.
She sat down at the base of a tree, resting herself while she waited for Mao to arrive. Knowing him, he was likely coming up with another mad experiment.
