Character(s): Jake and Levitas
Content: An Animorph that has a lot on his mind decides to check out a location in Paixao that seems interesting to him...and encounters someone he would never have expected to meet on the way over there.
Setting: On the way to the Glass Bonsai
Time: Beginning of Week 28, late morning
Warnings: A bit of fourth walling in this starter post, lol. Why? Jake and Mr. 4th Wall are BFF, that's why! It just couldn't be avoided. Aside from that, nothing else that I know of.

With each eventful day that had passed, Jake couldn’t keep his mind off of his friends back home. He also thought of his family, especially his older brother Tom. It was a possibility that the Yeerk inside his mind would use the Sharing to search for him. How was everything going back there? How were his parents, Tom deep inside his own head, Cassie, Tobias, Marco, Ax, and Rachel taking his mysterious disappearance? Probably not so good.

Jake also missed the more average, smaller things such as hanging out with his best friend, going over to the visit and help Cassie out in taking care of the sick wild animals on her farm, and dribbling a basketball on the pavement of his home’s driveway near the garage door.

None of that seemed to exist in this place. Well, not in this city anyway. There was still that church that should be looked into in which, but the field Wolf told him about... The old lady who was looking into some research into these Lumen things, beings of light that were the opposite of these Heartless the strange kid Sora mentioned. Wolf said to him through the journal network that they were dangerous. Going over to his own world replica alone was not an option, considering how unpredictable Paixao was. Earlier this morning, on the way to purchasing some breakfast at Café Eresat, Jake decided to avoid the cat-like thing that looked almost as bright as the fake sun in the fake sky. That had to be a Lumen! Right?

A distinct feeling was present to not approach. Jake didn’t see it coming over to attack him, yet he wasn’t going to risk his life over something he didn’t know enough about. It wouldn’t be right. There was one thing he definitely didn’t want to do while being stuck here; getting himself killed.

Once breakfast was eaten then paid for, Jake had been looking at the map on his pocket PC journal device. There was a location on it called the Glass Bonsai. Interesting name. He asked a gypsy passerby what that place was about, and she said that it was a pawn shop of unique things. This awakened curiosity. Could there be something even similar to something he’d recognize back home? His journal device looked very similar to a laptop in his world. Yeah, he felt the place would be worth looking into. It would be something to do while waiting to hear from Sora and/or his friend Riku-instead of doing nothing and let himself feel frustrated. That’s happened before, toward the end of the previous week.

As he started to follow the map in walking towards the building, he considered that maybe he didn’t really need Sora and Riku (or their friend Kairi) to find out all the need-to-know and exchange information. The older blond man with the goggles, Cid, seemed to know quite a bit about the Nobodies... How much did he know about the Heartless and the Lumens?

Just wait a little longer for those other guys first, he considered, as he decided to just focus on heading toward his current goal. Like how Sora knew Peter Pan, Donald, and Goofy personally, Jake played back some of the audio on Sora telling Mufasa (who Jake had journal chatted to for a brief time once) that he knew Simba as a friend who was all grown up.

“Because where he comes from, that’s normal to him,” Jake said under his breath. He let the subject drop just after that. Trying any harder to find the logic about such mind-boggling things in this castle nexus would take too much time away from what really mattered.
