It had been days since Flonne had left the dark room she had made a sanctuary. In the upper floors of the hospital, the once-pristine examination rooms were unlit and abandoned. It was a gloomy little haven if ever there was one and, in a perfect world, Flonne would have decorated it with light and pink and red. But she couldn't think about such things now. She was simply happy to have a bed and food to eat.
She sat on her lumpy, uncomfortable hospital bed now, knees drawn up to her chest as she gazed blankly out the broken window to the hazy night outside. She needed to come up with a plan to get out of Paixao. Perhaps Spira was the way to go after all. It was large and full of sunlight. Surely such a place would hold the answers she sought...
