Time: Afternoon-ish, week 25

“Home sweet ho -” Zidane’s triumphant cry dies as he turns amongst silvery grass to face down the domes of Paixao and the gateway. “Whoa! Wait a second, this isn’t right!” He pats down his pockets, trying to find where that crystal got to, but he’s got nothing but his Mage Mashers and a couple of coin. “Cosmos! Heeeey! Cosmos!” he yells, waving his arms at the dark sky as though it would help bring the goddess of harmony to him.
Eventually he gives up, slumping forward and groaning, eyes locked to the gate before him. “I can’t believe it. This has gotta be a dream.” Experimentally he gives himself a pinch, then curses at the pain. “Dammit. Aw, man, what was the name of this place again?” He stretches back up, scratching at the side of his head in thought. “Pie, Pie… Pie… - I could go for some pie actually - oh! Paixao, that’s it!”
Zidane pumps a fist into the air, pleased with his memory, and he saunters over to the front counter. “Zidane Tribal! Give me one of those journals already, would ya? I gotta catch up on what I’ve missed.”
There was probably something important he was forgetting. Probably several somethings, nagging at the back of his mind, but all that mess with Chaos and he couldn’t tell what was up or down right now. It really messed with his head.
Now if only he could go home like he was supposed to! But if there was one thing that he remembered about Paixao, it was the complete lack of getting home.
