Comforting the grass as if it was a blanket, Woody clung to it close, in search of comfort. However, as he woke, it just started to hit him that the grass was not a blanket. He quickly got up gasping at the sight around him. Woody scrambled backwards into a nearby bush. He looked out to see the line of people going to a gate, catching his breath he realized that he was not at Bonnie’s house anymore. His friends seemed to be absent as well, was this some kind of nightmare? This really can’t be happening.
Woody moved slowly so he wouldn’t get caught, he rummaged through the large grass, on his way to the next hiding spot. A giant rock, he peaked out and noticed the groups of people were taking an electronic piece of equipment from the booth. Hoping it would provide some means of communication to the toys back home, he decided to get one of those things before he could make his way inside. Woody edged his way, trying his best not to get caught. He managed to grab a bunch of leaves and move his way there, he would drop whenever someone came his way, and pretended that he was just a large pile of leaves.
When the toy finally made it, he noticed that the electronic devices came in different sizes. A bit surprised, he managed to find one that was toy sized, just the right dimension for him too! Woody reached out and took it, managing to sneak away from the guy who was handing out journals. The guy looked around, but shrugged and went back to welcoming some of the other folks to Paixao.
As Woody walked in by the gate putting his back against one of the buildings, he took in what was around him. It was a city of some sort. He couldn’t recognize it at all though. He frowned, looking around becoming distressed by the minute. Woody took a deep breath, and whispered to himself, “Calm down cowboy, you gotta think now. Ok…I was with Bonnie in her room… She took me to bed with her so she can sleep…” Looking away from the city he winced to himself, “But that doesn’t make any sense! How did I get from that to…to…THIS?!”
Woody gestured to the city, but quickly settled himself down, not wanting to draw any attention to himself. Quickly, Woody ran off to hide by another building that was close by as he went his way through the ally. Woody glanced around, as he backed himself into the wall behind the garbage. He peaked out and noticed he was nearby a café. Taking a deep breath, he opened up the device he picked up. Woody concentrated on the screen and then slowly made a frown, this was a blogging system. A thing to put journal entries on for the community who resided there and message boards for them as well! It didn’t connect to no other webpage or anything.
“Oh no… no… no, no, NO!” Woody groaned as he tried to figure it out more, desperately looking at the instructions as he sat in-between the ally. He went through page, after page. Nothing on his hometown, or Bonnie, or Andy, or anything! Woody clapped his hand across his face in frustration and moaned silently. He can’t give up though. He has to find a way back home to his friends. Woody put away the journal in his pocket. He got up and moved his way from the café further into the city. He hid behind a pedestal, and leaned against it, trying to best his think.
“What am I gonna do…?” Woody sighed and slid down to the ground slowly. Putting his plastic head in his hands. Think, come on, think. Woody would glance up occasionally, in case anyone was to notice him. So far though, everyone else seemed to be preoccupied with themselves, good in his case. Though it would be helpful if he could find a way back home.
