When she'd first heard that a new "floor" had opened up, Lightning hadn't been sure what to make of it. A quick trip out to the church and the islands revealed more to this new place than she'd ever expected. So, she'd gone back home to tell her housemates what she was doing and where she was going. Hope had insisted on coming, but Celes hadn't been around at the time. Either that or she'd been in the bathroom or something. So Lightning had left a quick note on the table for her in case she turned up and wondered what had happened.
Now, the two of them were standing in the middle of a forest that reminded her a little of the Gaspra Whitewood. She looked around, hands crossed over her chest. "Guess they ran out of time and had to throw something out to keep someone occupied." Most likely the citizens. "Let's go. The sooner we get through this, the better."
