Allen's head bowed even more as that same hand came ruffling his hair. He caught the hand a moment into the ruffle and pushed it gently to a side, since it was making him feel small. Like a little kid not able to buy the toy he wanted at a local store---and well, that previous pout on his face didn't help the situation much.

"I've got some money, if you want to go eat something, you know." Allen beamed, smiling. "But if we do that, we'll have to waste a night outside, sleeping," he said easily, as if it was no big deal. "Unless we get a job somewhere..."Allen really wanted a job, because the lack of money was killing him. He could easily regain the money by using tactics he used back then to pay off the bills for his master... but the people here didn't seem like gamblers. He'd be surprised if they even know what 'cards' are. Allen sighed.

"So what do you think?" he continued on, tapping his chin. "Starving yourself wouldn't help much to the situation," Allen said as he gave him a sympathetic look. "Maybe we should just go out and get something to eat... and think of a way to stay in the hotels later."

"Or you can always gamble and rob everyone blind. Cheating little munchkin," Rabi had to resist the urge to mess up Allen's hair again. Teasing him was just too much fun.

Gah. What, so he had to choose between eating or sleeping? Why couldn't he just have both? That sounded like a sweet deal to him. Rabi frowned and thought about his options, but when his stomach let out another loud growl, the boy came to his decision.

"I think food comes first," he agreed. If he absolutely had to, he wouldn't mind getting a job, either. But really, the thought of actually settling down and trying to make a living in... uh... Pie-sore... made him feel a little uncomfortable. They were supposed to be looking for a way to get out, not a way to fit in! "Whatever. We'll think of a way to make money later."

Oh, but that reminded him. How did Allen get the money he had now? Rabi perked up a bit and, without thinking, asked: "So wait. Did you have to sell something to get that money?"
