Character(s): Lenne, Shuyin, Karst Content: Food! (hopefully!) and conversation Setting: Cafe Ersesat Time: Early Evening Warnings: None at the moment...
Without hesitation, Shuyin pulled out Lennes seat for her. After she had settled, he sat beside her, moving a bit closer to whisper at her, eyes filled with pain. "What all do you remember?"
Karst left the two of them to their discussion. She had more troublesome things on her mind.
For one, she hadn't failed to overhear gossip that some areas in Paixao had simply... vanished. Auntie Unde's General Store had been in one of them. She'd liked that shop. A little absurd at times, but reliable. Now she was going to have to find someplace else to get her things
( ... )
Lenne glared sharply at Shuyin, despite his tortured gaze. "This is hardly the time, Shu! Can this wait? Please?" She sighed deeply, shaking her head. The last thing she wanted to think about was... that.
Lenne immediately turned her attention to Karst, thankful very much for her humour and subject change. "As simple as the monetary system is here, I can understand why someone might have trouble accepting it," she laughed softly. Myself included...
She reached for Shuyin's hand under the table to squeeze it softly, a silent promise that she would tell him her memories. Just later.
OOC: SO, I have no real excuse for my absence, other than Shuyin-mun's computer has completely esploded, and it'll still be another week until it's fixed, so he hasn't been online at all to remind me to post. HOPEFULLY it won't take any longer than that date. -_-
(OOC: Okay. I was starting to get a little worried that you'd both vanished. I'll post on y'all's behalf in the OOC comm explaining the problem, and thread elsewhere simultaneously so I don't fall further behind.)
Shuyin nodded, then set about searching for food. If Lenne said they'd talk about it, they'd talk about it. No need to worry about it anymore. In the mean time, food was calling.
Shuyin smiled wistfully as Lenne squeezed his hand under the table. Things might not be back to normal, but the semblance of normal would work for now.
After all, he had his Lenne. All was right in his world.
Karst thought, for a split second, that she saw red and white and pale, pale blonde outside the window, but when she looked she saw only the usual gold and white colors of the city and her own red reflection in the glass. Not worth it, she told herself again, frustrated that she'd done so well all this time and was suddenly apparently losing it. She's not here. You know that by now."It's a little confusing," she replied to Lenne's comment about the money system with a nervous smile. "So's this... Sorry, I thought I saw something out there. This whole city's confusing, especially the streets. I stay in the area between that gate and Central Station, and I still get lost sometimes." She conveniently left out the part where her navigation skills were poor to begin with. "Thank goodness the locals are friendly enough to give directions. The journals have a map, too." She drummed her fingers lightly on the helpful device for emphasis
