No Need For a Genius

Washu got over the news that she was in a different world fairly quickly. True, it was a little odd for someone to be just scooped up out of their dimension without somehow detecting it...she had thought she'd set up equipment for that. Oh well, one more thing to fix whenever she figured out how to get home. She was walking away from the gate now, the strange journal device in her hand and she was frowning at it.
"Well now! This just won't do at all," Washu exclaimed plopping down on the ground with the new device she had received. In her opinion, it was pretty much a piece of junk but for a genius like her that wouldn't be hard to fix at all. Something told her she would need some parts though…this place looked so primitive she wondered if she'd actually be able to find anything to help fix it. "At least I have my tools," she chirped, pulling out a strange box from her pocket.
People didn't pay her much attention for some reason and Washu returned the favor by diligently working on the device in hand. In mere seconds there was a nice pile of parts around her that she had taken from the device, humming to herself she began to put new parts back onto the device. "Bingo," she said as she turned it back on with a happy grin. "Much better," she exclaimed holding it up proudly and admiring her work. This thing would keep up with her genius much better than before.
"So…let's see…that guy who gave it to me said it had a journal function right…hmm…well I guess I ought to inform everyone that the Greatest Genius in the Universe has arrived," Washu shouted, already starting to type away on the keys. She started to laugh as her fingers flew over the keys she was curious as to who was out here…she didn't think the girls or Tenchi were here but there was only one way to really be sure.
