Deidara's first thought was that it was too quiet for a forest, and too bright. Then his eyes shot open and he whirled around, on full alert for genjutsu; he even went as far as to rip his scope from his head and check everywhere for a sign of a genjutsu.
But there was nothing, only a line of blonds which were doing a spectacular job of ignoring him, a dome with a gate of ice, and nothing beyond that. Was this some sort of time-space jutsu? But they were few and far-between, and no way that Uchiha brat knew any. Was someone else messing with him? He growled, shoved his way through the line, ignoring the protests.
"What the hell is this," he demanded of the person guarding the gate, eyes narrowed and hands in his clay pouches.
"You have to wait in line, s--"
"Fuck you," Deidara said, grabbing the guard by the collar and shoving him into a wall. The line reacted predictably, as hushed whispers rippled through the air.
A centipede was already snaking out of one of the mouths on Deidara's hands, wrapping itself around the unfortunate guard.
"Where am I?"
"P-Paixao."
"And this is?" Deidara picked up a peculiar red machine the guard had dropped.
"Your journal."
"Hn."
Deidara picked up the fallen machine and walked on, leaving the guard, who dared let out a sigh of relief. That was what reminded him he hadn't finished what he started.
"Katsu."
And the man exploded.
