There was no other way of putting it - NiGHTS would have been lost if she had been walking like everyone else instead of flying overhead. Even the relatively short distance was, as of yet, foreign to her - but she managed to find the place.

She had spotted bits and pieces of carnage in the distance, and felt sure that it was the creatures Lumen and otherwise - that were roaming around here. Normally, NiGHTS wouldn't have cared, but she was bored and thus needed something to do.

That something, of course, being the random destruction of monsters, hopefully - but if all else failed, she could do aerial acrobatics instead.

Ivan spotted her as he came down the street; with a hat like that, and hanging out in midair no less, it was pretty easy. He thought of calling out as soon as he saw her, but given how well he blended in (and as short as he was), he thought better of it and waited until he was just a couple yards from her.

"NiGHTS?" he asked tentatively.

NiGHTS turned to see... someone who looked almost like nearly everyone else here. How boring, NiGHTS thought, but she grinned at the newcomer anyway, a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.

"Hello!" she greeted cheerfully, giving a theatric bow. "Are you Ivan?" NiGHTS was pretty sure he was, since the boy standing before her had a look in his eyes that wasn't timid unease, but it couldn't hurt to check.

Ivan smiled brightly and nodded, glad he'd found the right person. "Yes, that's right. Hello," he said.

It took him a second to come up with what to say next; but with the formalities already out of the way, the next step seemed to be getting down to business. "So... which way did you say the monsters were from here?" he asked.

Hm. Not much of a conversationalist, was he? Well, that was okay. NiGHTS had always noticed that Visitors to the Night Dimension were always terribly distracted when the Nightmarens came around (of course, they never even realized NiGHTS was one herself), and she imagined the waking world to be no different.

"That way~" she half-sang, floating up a little in the air and pointing towards the vague sounds of carnage. She grinned at Ivan again, not a trace of fear on her face, and laughed. "Shall we?"
