Curiouser and Curiouser [Complete]

Content: NiGHTS arrives in Paixao.
Setting: Vanaheim Gate.
Time: Late morning.

S/he didn't know where s/he was, or how s/he had gotten there. It was strange; even for Nightopia - which, NiGHTS instinctively knew, was not here, - the fruit s/he'd seen on the trees wasn't at all like the ones that were to be found in Visitors' dreams; it looked fake. What's the point of fake fruit? the maren thought, half-amused. Don't humans need to eat? The creature shook his or her head, floating leisurely towards the opening of this strange new place and blinking at the strange, journal-looking thing that had been shoved into her/his hands and mumbled greeting of the guard (Almost, NiGHTS thought, as if I'd been expected - or maybe they're used to this.), and gave her/his name when s/he was asked, floating into the city and ignoring the odd looks from passerby.
Hopefully, there was something interesting here.
