Character(s): Larxene and Marluxia Content: Marluxia drops in on Larxene, who's resting after her fight. Setting: Larxene's secret lairbrary Time: morning Warnings: ...Evil?
A swirl of flower petals around the corridor of darkness announced Marluxia's arrival. He stepped into the library, giving it a once over before he finally focused on who he had come here to see. Larxene was clearly injured, but that was her own fault. She should have known better than to start up a fight with someone like the King. He knew better than to get into such a fight without something up his sleeve.
He walked over to a nearby bookshelf, running a finger along the spines. "I see you have a little downtime," he stated, finally stopping at a random one and pulling it out. He opened the book, feigning interest at its contents before glancing up at her again. "Excellent. We need to talk."
Hiding her pain, she sat up a little more and smiled just a bit. "It has been a while since I've seen you," she said conversationally as she settled into a more comfortable position.
"Hard to find someone keeping so busy," Marluxia replied, returning her smile with a smirk before he snapped the book shut. Enough with the small talk. Time to get down to business.
"Tell me what you know about your toys. Anything of importance."
"Well, there's that little brat of an overlord, Laharl," she said, setting aside her journal for the moment. "He's stronger than most think," she said, and that this included quite a bit of the rest of the Organization was implied. "And he's got connections to Flonne, his vassal. We could use that."
A moment of silence as she continued to think. "Timon has quite a bit of influence for a rat."
Marluxia picked up on what she was trying to say about the Overlord. Strength was a start. And from what he had seen on the journals, Larxene's actions had definitely stirred up quite a bit of rage in the demon. Flonne, she said? That would do. They could pull the strings a little tighter and guide them to the perfect point to snap. A good place to start.
"So I've noticed." The meerkat had enough of it to keep the people's trust even with his attempt to completely tear apart his and the Resistance's reputation. Not to mention he knew far too much. "Enough for our purposes?" he asked as he put the book back in its place.
And it was only fair to share what he had gathered. "There is a boy here by the name of Riku. Have you met him?"
"He could very well become mayor," she said with a laugh that was more painful than she would have liked. She had cracked at least one rib. "And wouldn't having him in our pocket be fun~?"
She tilted her head a bit, thinking. "Isn't he a friend of the Keyblade Master?" she asked. "I haven't met him."
Larxene tilted her head a bit. "Perhaps," she said, recalling the few times she had spoken to him on the journals, and his tendency to call her by number.
"Should we find a way to shut him up, or should we try to use him to our advantage?"
"He could potentially be as much use to us as the keyblade wielder," Marluxia stated, "But it would be best to keep a close eye on him, to make sure he doesn't reveal too much."
Larxene nodded. "Ah, mice are such trouble to keep track of~"
She leaned back just a bit, running over her list of rodents. "Have we checked on Naminé lately?"
It wouldn't do to leave the girl all alone for too long, after all. No need for her to get any improper ideas. And the little witch was terribly easy to influence.
((...omfgsolateakjfaifoappowapfa >.O How did I miss the notification for this? D:))
"I only know she's in the city," he stated, "for now." He would have to keep a closer eye on her, he thought. Especially since it seemed that Riku had knowledge of her as well.
"Oh my, are you spoiling her~?" Larxene trilled. "Perhaps I'll pay her a visit soon."
Larxene did enjoy checking on the girl; she was always a mood-brightener. And Larxene could certainly use one. Nothing like the quivering wisp of a witch to perk a girl up, after all.

With her favorite, of course.

"A friend who knows more than he should," Marluxia went on, his relatively good demeanor fading into a scowl.
