Character(s): Rikku with two k's, Riku with one k, Rakka, Paine, and Bob the Lumen
Content: What good's a hideout if you never have anybody over, anyway?
Setting: the hideout (a house in H6)
Time: afternoonish
Warnings: none

The last couple of days had been pretty busy for Rikku and Rakka, but the hideout was starting to look less like a run-down house and more like their run-down house. The girls had split up for a while yesterday to go supplies shopping, so the place was actually pretty well-provisioned now, as befit a hideout. Between that and their cleaning efforts, the living room was starting to look almost livable - even if they left the torn-up sofa for Bob to play with (he certainly liked it).

Just in time, too, since they were already due for some company. Riku-with-one-k wanted to meet Bob, and rather than try to take a cat several times her size for a walk they'd decided he should just come over here instead; but even better, she'd found a message from Paine on the message board, which had set her walking on air (not just literally this time). Now they just needed Yuna and the Gullwings would be back at full strength!

Of course, she couldn't help worrying whether her cousin was all right, now and then. But just worrying wasn't really gonna help anything.

For the moment, Rikku was busying herself with giving the place a last-minute spit-shine, which mostly consisted of teleporting whatever junk she found around the kitchen and living room from downstairs to upstairs. Given that there had been a lot of junk upstairs already, she wasn't really looking forward to the day they would have to clean that out, too, but it would do in a pinch.

Throughout this whole time, Bob just lay aimlessly on the sofa, watching her and Rakka as they worked. Finally Rikku turned to the Lumen, hands on her hips. "This would be a lot easier if everybody helped, you know," she scolded, although there wasn't really an awful lot he'd be able to do anyway; Bob just yawned.
