While it could be said that finding herself all alone in a strange new place wasn't exactly a new experience for Paine, it still wasn't exactly one she much enjoyed. After all, when you're only a little more then a foot-and-a-half tall there are any number of things that prove problemetic. Lines, particularly when comprised almost entirely of people standing some 5 to 6 feet tall if not more, are one of those things. Admittedly being capable of flight helped, but not really enough as sooner or later you were bound to get up to the front only to be promptly ignored for the much larger person behind you. Needless to say, Paine was not entirely amused to find herself looking at a line outside a thoroughly interesting city. If she wanted to see if her friends had ended up here it looked like she'd have to find another way into the city.
Luckily enough, 'another way' was easy enough when you could fly - and were willing to take advantage of the fact that most people rarely looked up. But hey, not like she minded - it made what it she had in mind a good deal easier. It was rather unusual to see a city that seemed to count the people coming in though - what was the point of that? Or the domes, for that matter?
Well, no matter, she'd dealt with strangeness before. And it wasn't like she couldn't protect herself if worst came to worst. But in any case all this thinking certainly wasn't getting into the city. Thinking could happen later, after all - and it was easy enough to flit down and make off with one of the whatevers-they-were that they were handing out at the gate before ducking into the city itself; a city that proved to be rather… shiny. Clearly Rikku would be all but beside herself if she were here. And that… was not neccesarily a good thing, in this case.
Right. First thing to do - find out if Rikku and Yuna were here. Anything else could wait for the time being.
