Content: After a week of separation and straight hell, a weakened Rosette and a worried Chrno finally get a chance to catch up and talk.
Setting: Actua Are [N9]
Time: Midafternoon

Most of what had happened for the past day was a blur to Rosette. She remembered Chrno carrying her to the hotel, remembered a soft bed...a lot of it was blank. Sleeping, she guessed. Thankfully, it had been dreamless - she didn't think she could deal with the type of nightmares the experiences of the past week would produce just yet. She knew she'd woken up a few times - in the middle of the night, when the darkness had left her frozen to the bed in terror, until her eyes adjusted enough to make out the form of Chrno sitting next to the bed. Only when she saw her partner was still there with her was she able to get back to sleep.
She was scared, and she knew it. She didn't want anything - anything like that - to happen again, and something kept telling her she'd be powerless to stop it if it did.
But she pushed those thoughts aside and managed to go back to sleep each time, even when it started to get light outside. Finally, she woke up, sun shining strong in the window, and found that she just couldn't get back to sleep again. After sleeping for nearly a day, she finally started feeling better. At least she could move again without being too sore. She shifted, rolling over to face where her partner had been sitting through the night. "Chrno?"
