"Not at all, not at all," Sephiroth replied calmly. He was mildly surprised to see such a large group accompanying the incarnation of entropy, but he hid it well. He had to admit, the girl's statement was flattering. Death thought he could help them? "Well, I can only hope that I live up to your expectations. Though I fear that, at present, all I have is information."
Returning both Duo and Auron's nods, Sephiroth offered a slightly sardonic smile. "So it would seem, Auron. It's a pleasure to meet you, Duo," he added, focusing his attention on the boy long enough to size him up. He was a fighter of some sort, or else he had a good sense of self worth; his posture was good, and he carried himself with ease. The girl was far too bright in that cheerful way that one usually attributes to school-age children, and the silent stranger who had yet to introduce himself had an aura of power and intrigue that was almost palpable. As for Auron... well, Sephiroth thought he recognized stylings he would have attributed to a warrior of Wutai in his blade and clothing, but it wasn't quite the same. Death... well, Death was Death.
"Sorry about the mess," he said with a glance toward the ruined table. "There was a thief in here a minute ago. He left rather suddenly."
