A Grave Matter [Active]

Jan 18, 2007 01:46

Character(s): Jack, Gaston, Bakura, Blue, and whoever wants to harass the merry little band.
Content: After finding little useful material and even less that's reassuring, the group tramps off to the hospital to get their exercise ask after Paixao's graveyards--again, because Jack wanted to, and the others just happened to come with for varying reasons. >O The bony slavedriver....
Setting: Paradisio Hospital [M3]
Time: Evening
Warnings: Um, morbidness if you cross your eyes, blink real fast, and squint hard? They are asking after a graveyard after all, even if there is a good reason for it....

As it turned out, it would have taken longer to reach a train station than the hospital itself. Thus, the group had been pretty much forced to resign themselves to a long trip. Jack didn't mind the trek--it had been his suggestion, after all, and his old bones didn't tire after a long while of walking, like his living companions' were inclined to do. That fact, and the fact that he still had some cash left, soon prompted Jack to spare his friends their feet by getting a cycle rickshaw. He couldn't recall ever cycling before--perhaps he had once, in his former life?--but he took to it easily despite being so awkwardly dressed for the activity, putting his evidently limitless endurance to work zipping over the distance as quickly as he could carry them.

It was a surprisingly fast way to travel, but the artificial sky was still darkening by the time they reached Paradisio Hospital. The vehicle was secured to a false tree--made of fanciful carnival glass, which he noted with considerable admiration--and the group made their way to the building. It was a beautiful place in its own right, he thought, with stunning architecture and diligent upkeep, even though he personally preferred the more gothic style. It was even nicer when one considered how advanced their technology seemed to be, compared to the rest of the city. Now then, where to go to get his question answered....?

Well, the front desk seemed like a good place to start. Jack headed for the receptionist, clearing his non-existent throat politely. "Excuse me, miss? Could you direct me to the nearest cemetery?" Hopefully there would be one on the hospital grounds, though he scarcely doubted he would be so lucky. Still, as a hospital, they needed some place to dispose of those patients they failed to save.... right?

((OOC: Go ahead and harass me if anything ought to be changed. :3))
