Character: Raven & Kanda Yuu
Content: Raven attempts to leave the city through the Joutenheim gate, but is unable to and goes with plan B. Kanda ends up seeing her though, and invites himself along.
Setting: In front the Joutenheim Gate

"I didn't know they had rules in this place."

Kanda glanced past Raven, towards her portal, from where he stood a few yards behind her. He'd never seen something quite like that, though he'd seen Komui's science branch working on something similar. However, he knew that there couldn't be anything remotely technological about what she was doing. It was disturbingly reminiscent of the Earl's techniques, but he pushed that thought aside. There was nothing like that in Paixao.

"Not to mention all the gypsies," he continued, taking a few steps towards her. Instead of the exorcist's coat that he'd worn last time they'd met, Kanda wore a simple button-down shirt and slacks with his sword slung on his back. From his wrist hung a simple cord bracelet, adorned with ornate silver buttons.

Though Raven had checked to see if anybody was present, Kanda had only just arrived. He had a tendency show up at opportune moments. Though he'd only come down to Joutenheim to have a look at the gate through which he'd come, it had only been a vague notion that Raven might use the very same gate to exit. Not that it mattered, if exit was permitted, because then Kanda could just leave on his own. Still, apparently they weren't allowed to leave through the gates, which wasn't all that surprising. There'd be fewer people stuck in the city if exit was allowed.

But apparently for Raven, that wasn't a problem.

"That'll take you outside of the dome?" he asked, gesturing in the direction of the portal she'd just made.

"How did...?" Raven turned around and looked at Kanda, surprised at his sudden arrival. She was already regretting not taking the time to sense anybody that could've been hidden, and this was the reason why. Well, there was nothing that could be done about him being there now...

"If you really need to know... Yes, it will. It'll let me go through the wall and take me outside." Starring at him for a moment, she could already tell where this was going.

"Listen Kanda, I don't know how you found me, and I'm sure you're capable of handling yourself out there." A guy like him wouldn't carry a sword around if he didn't know how to use it. "But what I told you before still stands." Raven recalled their brief exchange while using their journals. "I don't want anybody with me, that includes you. Got it?"
