Setting: Ceu de Mouraria (L8)

Unnoticed by the crowd of people chattering around the beautiful glass dome before them, the three of them find themselves standing before Ceu de Mouraria. Death immediately lets go of both Eiri and Del, walking towards a food stall with purpose in her steps but not forgetting to glance back and offer the both of them a wink that says 'I will handle this'. She has no money in her pocket whatsoever, but she is sure that the vendor will be willing to give her sugar cones despite that. Simply put, she usually has her ways and when she does not, people give her ways.

"Good evening, sir," she greets the middle-aged man sitting on a stool behind the stall. "I need a sugar cone, colored-sugar in the shape of a cone, do you have any in stock?" Death asks with an amiable smile of someone talking to a best friend, instead of a stranger over the counter of a food stall.

The man looks up slowly from the magazine that he was browsing through, finding himself gazing at a twentysomething woman who reminds him of someone he knows very well even though there is also something not human about her as well. Pushing his rounded glasses up the bridge of his nose, he stands up from his stool and furrows his brows in thought, "do I know you?"

Death lets out a laughter that reaches her eyes, "I think you do, Alberto," she gives him a fond smile, a smile that a mother gives to her child when he boasts his page full of blotted and splattered colors to her. "My little sister might throw a tantrum if I can't give her a sugar cone, so it would be wonderful if you can help me," she says while gesturing at her little sister behind her.

Breaking into a subtle smile that is not wide enough to touch his eyes, Alberto nods slowly at her request, "I have a candy machine, I don't suppose it would be hard to make a cone of sugar," he replies warily, his brows still furrowed in uncertainty. "Who are you exactly? Where do I know you from?" He asks while turning on the candy machine to make the sugar cones she asked for.

She smiles mysteriously, her eyes watching his hands move about the whirring machine with the expertise of one who has done it countless times, "She wants a blue and yellow and purple one," she tells the man, ignoring his questions. Alberto does not try to push her to answering them either, somehow realizing that it is better that he does not know, yet. Dilligently, he makes three sugar cones, noticing the woman's other companion who is standing beside the little girl she pointed out as her little sister.

Placing the three sugar cones on sticks, Alberto ties a tiny red ribbon on the one meant for the little sister before handing them over to the woman. Death receives them with a friendly smile, "thank you, how much are they?" She has no money, but it is polite to at least ask, right?

Alberto thinks for a moment; he does not sell sugar cones and there is none listed on his price list. He has had a good sale today and he has a feeling that doing something good for this group of people will have a good outcome. Shaking his head hesitantly, Alberto mutters, "It's on me."

An amused grin is plastered on Death's face at his reply, "thank you," she turns to walk away, "See you later, Alberto," Death mutters with a tiny wave before walking back to Eiri and Del. It would only be after Death has left the vicinity for quite awhile that the man will stumble back upon his chair and realize the reason why the strange woman's eyes remind him so much of his recently-deceased wife's beautiful loving eyes.
