When Gojyo awoke that morning, he found Namine still asleep and Kairi missing. The letter she left explained that she was going after Riku in attempt to find out what was wrong with him. The name brought shivers up the half-breed's spine. He laid the note back on the dresser next to the sleeping blonde and began making preperations to leave.
He had no choice but to remain in the loosely fitting blue pajama pants given to him by the hotel- for there was no way on earth he'd even touch the short pair Ansem had thrown at him in the street. If anyone dared laugh they were going to get a fist crammed into their face very quickly.
Gojyo had been wandering for a few hours now. During that time, he'd recieved two messages on the blasted pink journal. The first was from Namine, begging him to get to Ansem before Kairi. This had been a hard one to ignore... The red-head- and he was rather ashamed of the fact- did not want to go anywhere near Ansem at the moment. Not since he still felt like the man had his fingers wrapped around his throat in the form of a leather collar. Gojyo remembered being horrified and frustrated that night when he discovered he could not remove the humiliating brand of ownership. If Ansem had meant to make him feel like a dog- he was suceeding.
The second had been from the man himself... daring him to come after him. Gojyo wasn't that stupid. He knew full well he had no way of defeating him as he was. The strength Ansem had shown during their first encounter was proof enough that he'd just been throwing his life away. Revenge would have to wait until he could find a way to beat him. He found himself wishing again that Sanzo and Hakkai were with him... They would have been able to figure it out... Hell, they would have been able to prevent the whole thing in the first place- he bet. Sometimes he was so damn stupid- and without either of those two to warn him- he'd gotten himself in trouble again.
A large building loomed before him now. He stared up at it, blinking against the sunlight. Gojyo wasn't sure who lived there- but he was once again starving, thirsty, and tired. He hadn't eaten breakfast when he left the hotel and there didn't seem to be any natural sources of water in this fucked up city. Music floated to his ears from inside the building. At least that meant somebody lived here.
Hopefully they weren't hostile. Gojyo raised a fist and knocked on the door.
"Hey! Anybody there?"
He called hoarsly.
