...You sent moi to give greetings knowing they were dangerous?! Hmph! And here I thought that rivalry meant defeating one another in battle, not by allowing others to do so. Otherwise it defeats the purpose!

The only one who thinks you're my rival is you.

Ah, but we have fought many a time and previously over the same position. Does that not make us rivals by definition?

...No. No it doesn't.

Yes it does~

Rival (n.) - a person who is competing for the same object or goal as another, or who tries to equal or outdo another; competitor.

Is that right? Well, you aren't now. I'm the Overlord. There's nothing to compete for!

But you forgot part of that definition. "Or who tries to equal or outdo another?" I believe that works just fine, does it not?

... Tch.

You'll never equal or outdo me, Mid-Boss!

That, Laharl, is for time to tell!

Haha! This really does sound like a rivalry!

Hmph.

What? No it doesn't!

Look at what you just said, it does too!

No, it doesn't! I was merely stating fact!

The exclamation point says otherwise~

What?! Exclaimation points don't prove anything, damnit!

They prove emotion in the statement! You are using them now, after all, to show... frustration, if I am correct. If there were a period at the end of that particular sentence, it would be a statement. Buuuuut you didn't use one.

See? This is a shining example of a statement of facts.

Since when when did facts have to be statements?!

The exclamation mark was just there because... just because!

But here fine. Let me correct it then:

You'll never equal or outdo me.
