You're... years behind, Sephiroth. Things have greatly changed. My father passed on, and the company came into my hands. I've been President for some time now. If you wish to confirm this, I am sure that Vincent Valentine could do so. I have come to understand that you two were traveling together for a time. My Turks could as well. Given that you are part of Shin-Ra, I feared that such had happened. Many Turks who died years ago have surfaced here as well. I had hoped that such a fate had not befallen you as well. I am sorry that it has.

At my point in history, sometime after where your memories end, Hojo tried to 'recreate' you. It was a foolish plan of my father's but you know how Hojo was. If he could twist something, he did. These three creations believe themselves to be part of you. They're very violent, Sephiroth. If you read back some, you'll see their leader, Kadaj, repeatedly threatening me. At times, I must cater to his madness in order to keep him from destroying places and people. It is better that his rage and hatred be focused on me than my people. I had no hand in their creation, but because Shin-Ra put them out, they're my responsibility.

Be careful, Sephiroth. I don't know what would happen if he reached you. In truth, I would rather have you with me given your service record and abilities. I know you can hold your own against Kadaj and his brothers, but the unexpected has a way of happening. They are insane. Make no mistake about that. Hojo made sure of that.

I'm not sure how much of this I want to believe, at this point, but your story does sound much more convincing than his. He has also tried to contact me.

All things considered, I think it would be best if we met and talked. I'm currently travelling with Vincent. I recall some of Hojo's files mentioning his name, but nothing specific. It's been quite some time since I bothered with the old lunatic's lab, you see.

I find it oddly disheartening to hear that your father met his end. I harbored suspicions of genetic alterations done by Hojo to increase his lifespan; apparently, such was not the case.

The Turks are here, you say? I never had many dealings with them, but I must admit, they had a certain flare. Am I to assume that you have assumed leadership of ShinRa, and all its subsidiaries? If that is the case, then I should be making my report to you in person.

As for Kadaj and his brothers, having not met them, I do not wish to form an opinion of their combative skill just yet. Too many SOLDIERs did that with the warriors of Wutai, and paid for the mistake with their lives.

By any chance, do you happen to know whether my long-time partner, Zack, is here as well? Or has he also met his fate?

Where might I go about meeting with yourself or an envoy? I'm currently near the gate called Joutenheim; at present, outside a rather... - unique, shall we say? - establishment.

Gen. Sephiroth, SOLDIER (Class: Sigma)

(ooc: no, I did not just make a stupid play on letters... go about your business... =P On a more important note, as should be obvious, I 'invented' the higher class of SOLDIER. Since Sephiroth is somewhere quite beyond first class.)

Be wary of him, Sephiroth. For your own sake as well as the planet's. He seeks to destroy all life and do so, I think he believes he needs you. I've listened to more than a few of Kadaj's rants and watched him destroy. He has a certain fascination with me that I'm sure you will see if you have had contact with him.

I think it was best for all that said lab was destroyed along with all of his work. While I never had to see the things made there, I've read enough reports for it to turn my stomache.

You are correct in that I am now president of Shin-Ra Company and all that it encompasses. I have a good many of the Turks here, ones that you may have heard of. Notably, Tseng and Reno, although there are others as well. I would prefer that you report to me as well. Given that most of the departments and their heads were killed, most of Shin-Ra's operations have come directly under my control.

You're wise in not underestimating Kadaj. He and his brothers are very dangerous. They're one of the few I've come up against that can back up the things they claim to be able to do. He has a weapon much like your own. As I said, Hojo did all he could to convince them that they were part of you. They are utterly obsessed with their idea of Reunion or bringing all the pieces together to make one.

Zack? The name isn't overly familiar to me, no, but I would imagine he is dead now. The others may know more. Most of those within SOLDIER have passed on. You are one of a kind in more ways then one at present, Sephiroth.

My Turks and I are currently heading towards the Central Station. It seems we have all been scattered about this odd place. It appears to be the best place for a meeting and then deciding what to do next. If it were possible, I should like to have you meet us there. I do not know if you remember what I look like or not, but I will be the one in white surrounded by a group of those in black suits. Given the pale washed out way the inhabitants of this world look, I doubt we could be missed.

I am pleased more than you know to have you willing to join us, Sephiroth. Like most children of my era, I grew up on stories of your achievements.
