Well, you know what a universe is, right? It's everything. Space, time, galaxies, solar systems, stars, moons, planets... a great big celestial smorgasbord. Dimension is what makes up the universe, height, width and depth, and the fourth dimension, time. Although, there are higher dimensions, but... well, nevermind that right now. There are an infinite amount of universes. They're called a parallel universe... or parallel dimension... or world even, all the same thing really. There's other types of dimensions too, but, well, I probably should just stop there.
Oh, right, but a pocket universe is a small pocket of space, usually created artificially. That's one possibility of what we might be dealing with.

A pocket dimension, you say? Awe-inspiring, at the very least. Is there anything you believe I may be able to help you with in this predicament, Doctor?
Ah, right, introductions. Basil of Baker Street, at your service.

[He sighs.] Oh, I wish there was, I really do, but I can't think of anything right now, other than to keep your eyes and ear open for anything you think might be related to us being here.

Yes! Well, you'll find there's a great deal of farfetched things in the universe.

I'm afraid, however, that I'm not very familiar with all those terms you used.
