The fog... I wonder what the cause is. Where's it coming from? There's nothing natural at all about it.

At least not where I'm from.

I've seen nothing of this sort before in my own world.

[The following can be heard in a calm, conversational tone.]

It's a really bizarre phenomena. Not even the machines in mine that make fog are capable of making people hallucinate.

My best guess is that someone created a really complex dry ice machine that produces that kind of fog, but how would that be possible? [Clearly sounds like he doesn't really believe what he's saying.] It would take a lot of power at least--and it would possibly wipe out some of the city's electricity.

And this city's pretty big. I haven't seen a flickering light bulb while I was out last night... Have you noticed anything like that, sir?

From what I've seen of this city, there are only a few light bulbs in the first place. Paixao doesn't seem to have much use for electricity.

A fog machine may well be the culprit, though in a place where so few things are natural, it would be difficult to tell just which one of them would be the source.

Or perhaps more than one machine. From what I saw, it was thick in all directions.

There is no way to be certain.

No kidding. Reason and the common laws of physics must be a rarity here.

It warrants investigation, though I fear I may not be the best at doing so myself.

A friend and I could help.

[Said friend he'd be able to rely on, to be sure Lamington's just Lamington first.]

Then we should exchange introductions.

I am Lamington, the Head Angel of Celestia.

I'm Jake, from a planet called Earth. The friend I'll be sure to bring with me is Toph, an earth bender from another world.

... You're really an angel? [With the wings, and harp? Huh. Can he fly fast? Faster than he can dive as a peregrine falcon?]

I know much of Earth. Though "earth bending" is new to me.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Jake.

Words cannot describe how incredible her talent is.

How much do you know about Earth? [Curiousity mixed in with awareness. Not possible. If there's Angel-Controllers...]

It was my duty, in Celestia, to watch over the Earth, in addition to overseeing all the other angels.

Celestia's another name for Heaven then? I'm not real familiar with the other names for it.

[Prevents himself from voicing the question if Lamington knows anything about the invasion going on over there. He'll find that out in person. Better in person than online.]

In essence, yes, though it is likely that the "Heaven" a human thinks of is much different from the Celestia I preside over.

Then... It might mean we may not be from the same Earth. [Oh man, does the thought of parallel versions of the same planet boggle his mind... But he dares not dwell on that. There's enough to focus on as it is.]
