Back to Boston

I was trapped by ice yesterday so I wasn't able to get down to the big BOS until this afternoon. I hadn't started packing so I guess it all worked out well.

I'm glad to see New England returning to it's bitter winter style. I was begining to miss having to layer for bed, looking like a walking garment district, the gusts of wind that knock your snowsuited-self over. Hopefully soon the ground will be covered in white and slush. and, hopefully, I won't get snow/salt/sand/dirt/trash splashed on me by cabs on my way to class. hopefully.

Winter break was good, welcomed by all, I'm sure, but I'm glad to be home. I love my friends and missed them. Even people that I grew apart from over last semester, I'm ready to try again and renew friendships that may have dwindled down to nothing more than passing hello's. It was good to see people as I walked through the halls and say heartfelt "how was your break?"'s. Emerson is where I truly belong academically and socially. I had forgotten why I fell in love with the school in the first place. No, it's not NYU, or Chicago, or Yale, or Amherst, for that matter, but it is an amazing school and community. Every year it pumps out more and more successful people who are confident and comfortable in their own skin.

I want to be that person. Someone who in five years can say, yea, i went to emerson college to a crowd of open mouths. It's a very up and coming school, and it's not stopping; neither are the people in it. My friends are all so different, so unique, and all are very smart.

I'm looking forward to this year... to my friends, to new people I'm going to meet, and to maintaining a 4.0

bitches.
