i bought it used on amazon.com and it came in mail today. i was in like 7th grade when this came out. some dude let me borrow it back then and i made a tape of it. i've since destroyed the tape, and i kinda forgot about this album. but i somehow came across it the other day and couldn't pass it up. damnit this album is so so so good. 1995... this is fucking rock.
me and jen saw her space holiday last night. i asked like 3 other people but none of them could go :( i probably shouldn't wait until the night OF a show to ask people to go. i'll try and do better about that next time. plus one i told before school even started, but he couldn't go either. daedelus and two other weird electronic acts performed as well. daedelus was good, and her space holiday was good, but the albums are better. the sound was pretty bad, and apparently some cops came and told the sound guy to turn it down, so everything except the loud ass drums got turned for like the last song and a half. it was sad :( but it was nice to see HSH live. it was an experience. i also picked up the young machines remixed, it's not being released until november 2nd. every track on the young machines is remixed by someone generally awesome. some examples: DNTEL, the album leaf, matmos, stereolab, arab strap, and the super furry animals just to name a few. i haven't gotten a chance to listen to the whole thing yet, but i'm sure it will rule. the dntel (japanese gum) and the album leaf (the young machines) remixes so far are really really good.
well, not much else is going on. just homework and work. pretty boring shit. i got the 4th season Mr. Show DVD yesterday. i can't wait to watch all them. The commentary tracks were so awesome for the first 3 seasons, i can't wait to hear them for the 4th season.
jen has a new boyfriend. i'm still alone. it's hard. but i'm happy for her. she's happy. so it's better because at least one of us is, whereas before, towards the end, neither of us were. in time i believe i will be happy, too, it'll just take me a little longer.
i need to visit new jersey.
