Little sister...
Due to excessive family stress dealing with my grandfather's estate, my sister and I have been bonding lately. If you know either of us (or our respective interests) you know how hard the two of us struggle to sit and have any conversation, much less go out and spend time in each other's company "doing" something, other than sitting at home bickering. It's unfortunate that the money left by our grandfather has caused our parents and extended family to be at war with one another, and after a year, things are quite unresolved. However, Christina and I have somehow managed to find things to talk about. These past few days, getting to know my dear sister on a deeper level, have been promising to our relationship as adults.
Monday evening we went to the gym, (her place of forte) where we ran off some stress on the track, and kicked back in the Sauna. Then tonight, we went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. We also had a girls-night-in, and watched "The Holiday". (She likes girly movies, and I like Jack Black, so it worked out perfectly)
I feel like my sister and I are growing closer through all this outside pressure. Hopefully we'll start to see eye-to-eye more often, and this connection we've established will stick around. <3
