how can a short week feel so long?
It's only Wednesday? WTF? I think whenever Wade is in the middle of his seven night workweek, I am going to feel like it is the longest week ever. Maybe I will eventually get used to it, probably just in time for him to switch to a different shift. I was telling a friend last night that this coming weekend is only the second weekend he's had off work since starting this shift in late April. I am a little disappointed because we had plans with another couple on Friday night, but they had to cancel due to some family obligations. We already have a babysitter, so we are considering going out anyway.
My last public entry was about my son scaring the shit out of me. By yesterday, he was still running a fever once or twice per day even though he seemed relatively normal otherwise. So, Wade took him to see Dr. Cooper and he came away with a round of Augmentin. Dr. Cooper said one of his ears was not quite right and his throat was red. If his strep culture comes back positive, we should hear something in the next day or two. Doesn't seem debilitating enough to be strep, but we'll see.
Today is the day I record my Camtasia tutorial. We will have to see how that goes! I finally got my microphone working yesterday, after the computer geeky instructional technologist from downstairs fooled around with it long enough to officially pronounce it broken. Apparently my fooling with it for an afternoon was not enough to draw that conclusion. So now I have a different microphone and it's a super fancy one with a clip and everything. Now if I can just make my tutorial less dull than some of the other ones that I've seen online. I'm waiting until later in the morning when I feel perkier!
